Toy Drive for Sr. Carmen

The BMCHS male student service club, the SQUIRES, have just kicked off their 11th Annual Toy Drive for Sr. Carmen. This year's goal is to collect approximately 6000 toys, gifts and gift cards for food for Christmas dinner. Bishop Manogue actually reached that goal four years ago. Sr. Carmen was completely overwhelmed!!! This will be the last toy drive for Sister, because she will be leaving the Reno area to go back to the Sister house next June.
Therefore, the Squires want to make this year's toy drive the BEST for Sister.

The Freshmen/Sophomores are competing against the Juniors/Seniors to see which classes can bring in the most. Freshmen/Sophomores will collect toys for children from 1 month to 10 years old. Juniors/Seniors will collect for 11 to 17 years old. Students are to bring in the toys, gifts and cards to their first period teachers. The toy drive will run from Wed. Nov. 20th to Monday, Dec. 9th. Please no stuffed animals this year since Sr. Carmen has so many already. Thank you in advance for your tremendous generosity to make this Christmas season a bit brighter for so many needy families in our community.

Catholic Charities 'Operation Stocking Stuffer'
On December 15th, Catholic Charities is hosting an "Operation Stocking Stuffer" party. They need 40 volunteers to face paint, play games, sweep, clean-up, or hand out stockings in the St. Vincent's Dining Room from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm. This is a fun and great way to earn service hours and help children in need this holiday season! You must sign up with Ms. Klekas beforehand in the Campus Ministry room, see her today!

Need parent volunteers to help at lunchtime on Mondays, from 11:18 am - 11:48 am and then at 12:06pm - 12:36pm. Please contact Greg @ 775-225-1391 or Jane Festa @ 775-336-6061.

Admissions Gate
Athletics is looking for volunteers to work the admissions gate at our home basketball games.    Sign up here.

Remember, the Diocese of Reno has mandatory requirements for volunteering at all Diocesan schools, including Bishop Manogue, and you cannot earn service hours until those requirements have been met. Contact Bonnie Hansen at  or 775-336-6000 with questions.

Parents will have to enroll in Protecting God's Children through Virtus and stay up to date on monthly bulletins for two years. After the two years, you have completed all the necessary bulletins. This transfers over from any of the Diocesan schools. If you are still receiving bulletins after two complete years, contact Elda Juarez at  to be removed from the update list.
