Students may not order food delivery services to the school. Parents may come to drop off lunches, but UberEats/GrubHub/etc. are prohibited.
Technology Bootcamp

All freshmen should have completed the technology bootcamp, but in case you haven't or if you are not a freshmen but would like to learn more, check it out here.
Senior Independent Study Program

There will be a MANDATORY meeting for all seniors participating in the Independent Study program (6th period seniors) on Thursday, 9/12 in the Chapel at 1:05pm. All participating seniors must attend! Contact Mrs. Haeberlin-Cope with any questions.

The first Parent Association Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 11, in the SCC. The meeting will begin at 6pm and conclude at 7pm.

Field Hockey Club
Come out on Monday afternoons for Field Hockey Club from September 9 - October 26th from 3:15- 4:30. Learn a new sport in a fun environment. 3 x 3 play. No experience required. Bring mouth guard and eye protection. Shinguards, sticks and balls will be provided. Visit for more information!

BMCHS Scholarship Opportunity: Jerome McDowell Scholarship
This is a variable, need-based award of up to 90% of the recipient’s unmet financial need with a limit. Scholarship award amounts are calculated annually and are dependent on the Cost of Attendance, less other assistance or gift aid, with a range of $500-5,000. APPLY HERE
Car Service from Truckee

A group of families in Truckee have been using a morning car service to Manogue. A one-way ride costs $15. Give yourself a day or two of driving off per week with a professional driver and fellow families in our community. Please contact the Johnsons at or at 650-678-8155 soon, as space is limited and filling fast. This is a parent-led initiative.
That Man is YOU!- Begins Sept. 11. at St. Rose of Lima

Service Opportunities

Reno Air Races
The Knights of Columbus of Ponderosa Council is planning for their biggest fundraiser of the year- Reno Championship Air Races. KOC is looking for volunteers from BMCHS for the dates of September 11-15th. Students will serve their community at one of the largest events in the area. Proceeds from the event will be used to support philanthropic activities for the KOC- sponsorship of Casa DeVida, Girl and Boy Scout Troops, Mentally Handicapped groups throughout the region, and the Catholic Diocese.

Community Health Alliance Volunteer Opportunities
Community Health Alliance is a federally qualified health center proving comprehensive health services to all and are looking for compassionate, motivated students who want to get some experience or want to help the community by volunteering their time. A TB test and parent permission slip are required for all student volunteers. CHA will cover the cost of the TB test.

Speech and Debate Tournament- 9/20 & 9/21
Bishop Manogue is co-hosting the first Speech and Debate tournament of the year at Wooster High School. We are in need of adults to judge rounds of competition on Friday, September 20th 3pm-9pm and Saturday, September 21st 8am-9pm. Volunteers can sign up for blocks that work best for them on either day or both. Sign up here. Contact Will Monsey at if you have any questions.
Remember, the Diocese of Reno has mandatory requirements for volunteering at all Diocesan schools, including Bishop Manogue, and you cannot earn service hours until those requirements have been met. Contact Bonnie Hansen at  or 775-336-6000 with questions.

Parents will have to enroll in Protecting God's Children through Virtus and stay up to date on monthly bulletins for two years. After the two years, you have completed all the necessary bulletins. This transfers over from any of the Diocesan schools. If you are still receiving bulletins after two complete years, contact Elda Juarez at  to be removed from the update list.
