Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

I have enjoyed seeing the amazing work taking place in our middle school classrooms over the past week. Our students are hard at work to establish a strong start to the school year. I am excited to share these early accomplishments with you at the open house on Wednesday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m.

Teachers have spent several days reviewing our district’s positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) system. Every day, we ask that students be Honorable, Encouraging, Accountable, Respectful, and Determined. We use the acronym Be H.E.A.R.D. to reinforce these expectations.

Our classroom poster displays examples of the skills that we are teaching and practicing. Students have learned similar expectations for different settings throughout the building, such as the cafeteria and hallways. They are working towards a school-wide celebration as we begin our Be H.E.A.R.D. rewards system. Be sure to ask your child about our Be H.E.A.R.D. program, and we encourage families to reinforce these character traits at home.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tony Srithai

Principal
