Summer Assignments and School Supply Lists 2024-2025

Families can find information regarding summer assignments and back-to-school supplies on the district’s Summer Assignments webpage. 

Ohio Sales Tax Holiday

The state of Ohio sets aside a limited number of days each year for consumers to buy certain items without sales tax. This sales tax holiday is intended to help families buy clothing, supplies, and more items their children may need to be successful during the school year.

The 2024 sales tax holiday will take place from 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, August 8. Visit the Ohio Department of Taxation web page for more details.

Fall Sports Information

As we near the start of the fall sports season, all students interested in participating in sports, grades 7-12 must have the following forms turned in prior to the start of the season in order to be able to practice with your team.

➢  FALL SPORTS SIGN UPS/ FINAL FORMS - If you have not already done so, please sign up for Bison Athletics on FinalForms. This link will guide you to sign up for sports and will give you access to the necessary forms on “FinalForms.” It is important that both the parent/guardian and the student complete the forms. If you plan on participating in a winter or spring sport please sign up for them as well during the registration process.

➢  OHSAA PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM - All student athletes must have an updated physical on file prior to participation in practices or games. This form can be found on FinalForms. Here is the link to the Physical Examination Form, which is also available on FinalForms. The physical examination form must be completed by the parents/guardians and your child's doctor prior to the first day of practice and uploaded onto FinalForms. Physical examination forms are valid for 13 months from the date of the exam.

Our high school and middle school fall coaches will reach out to all student athletes and families who have signed up for their specific sport in the next few days to provide information regarding the August practice schedules. They are unable to reach out to you until all of the forms on FinalForms have been updated. Most practices will begin the first week in August. Middle School Fall Sports Pre-Season Meeting

If your middle school student is participating in fall Bison Athletics, parents must attend the pre- season meeting on August 6 at 5:00 p.m. in the Beachwood High School auditorium. We will have a brief overview of the fall season and meetings with our coaches. Following the meeting, you will meet with your coaches regarding the upcoming season.

Kids Summer Lunch Program 2024

University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is offering a free Kids Summer Lunch Program! From June 3 to August 13, children ages 1-18 can enjoy a free, healthy lunch at the UH Ahuja Medical Center.

Details:

·       Location: UH Ahuja Medical Center, 3999 Richmond Road, Beachwood, OH 44122

·       Dates: June 3 - August 13, 2024

·       Days: Monday - Friday

·       Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Each meal includes a special entrée, vegetable, fruit, milk, and a whole grain side. No registration is required, but meals must be eaten in the hospital cafeteria to be eligible. Download the Free Summer Lunch Program flyer.
