Message from the Principal |
Dear Families,
Thank you to everyone that attended our Open House last week. It was wonderful to see so many families connecting with our teachers and staff. Your involvement plays a huge role in building our positive school community. We are truly grateful for your support.
Next week, we are excited to participate in “Start with Hello Week,” a national initiative that promotes inclusion and kindness. Throughout the week, our students will participate in activities that encourage friendship and help build connections across the school community. We look forward to the positive energy that this program brings!
Lastly, we have set a school-wide goal of earning 500 Be H.E.A.R.D. tickets throughout this week. If we reach this goal, we will host an ice cream social for all students next Friday, September 20. Be sure to ask your child about our Be H.E.A.R.D. program and their work in demonstrating positive behaviors throughout this week and beyond.
I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful week.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tony Srithai
Principal

Classroom Spotlight: Career Design with J.C. Lenk
Career Design is off to a great start this school year! Sixth-grade students are learning to become pilots by constructing their own airplanes. This introductory engineering activity encourages them to think critically, solve problems, follow directions, work with their hands, and have fun! Seventh-grade students are applying their science, math, and engineering skills in their first Engineering Design Challenge: creating roller coasters.
