BikeMaine Weekend is almost here! There will be TWO newsletters in the next two weeks. This one has the daily schedule, check-in how-to, and parking info. The next one will have reminders and your route maps. There is a LOT of info in these newsletters, we recommend that you download and/ or print them!

BikeMaine Daily Schedule

Here is an overview of the Weekend. You can also find this information at the Info Tent, and on the printed newsletter, "BikeMaine Today," that will be set out with breakfast each morning, and emailed as well.


THURSDAY

  • 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Rider check-in open (see next section for details)

DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. YOU MAY NOT SET UP YOUR TENT UNTIL YOU ARE CHECKED IN.

  • 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Food trucks open (NOT included with registration) featuring: High Roller Lobster Company, Lady Shuckers, Lucky Lou's, Mainely Hotdogs, & Pink Waffle
  • 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Info Tent open
  • 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Beverage Garden at Bethel Inn Resort side lawn (featuring Maine Beer Co.)
  • 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.: Shake out rides (get ready for the Weekend with your choice of several short, group rides. Please pre-register HERE. Meet at the Info Tent.
  • 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Mechanic tent open (Barker Mountain Bikes)
  • 7:30 p.m.: Welcome Announcements at the Beverage Garden
  • 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: E-bikes must be in Field House for charging
  • 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.: Shower trailer open (BYO soap!)
  • 10:00 p.m.: All quiet


FRIDAY & SATURDAY

  • 5:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Shower trailer open (BYO soap!)
  • 6:30 - 8:00 a.m.: Breakfast in Gould dining hall
  • 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Medical Tent open
  • 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Mechanic Tent open
  • 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Info tent / Rider registration open 
  • 7:00 - 7:30 a.m.: Field House open to get charged e-bikes out
  • 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Routes open (must be on route by 9:30)
  • 8:30 a.m.: Short route group ride with Jean (meet at Info Tent) FRI ONLY
  • 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Medical Tent open
  • 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 9:30 p.m.: Showers open
  • 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.: Info Tent/ Charging Station open
  • 12:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Activities!
  • 2:30 p.m.: Inland Woods + Trails Package rides leave from Info Tent
  • 2:00 - 5:00 p.m: Mechanic Tent open
  • 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Food trucks (featuring Mainely Hot Dogs, Mainely Burgers, Pink Waffle (Fri only), & Wheelhouse (Sat only)
  • 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: E-bikes must be in Field House for charging
  • 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Beverage Garden (Maine Beer Co. Friday, Orono Brewing Sat)
  • 10:00 p.m.: All quiet


SUNDAY

  • 5:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Shower trailer open (BYO soap!)
  • 6:30 - 8:00 a.m.: Breakfast in Gould dining hall
  • 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Medical Tent open
  • 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Mechanic Tent open
  • 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.: Info tent / Rider registration open 
  • 7:00 - 7:30 a.m.: Field House open to get charged e-bikes out
  • 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Routes open (must be on route by 9:30)
  • 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Medical Tent open
  • 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Showers open
  • 11:00 - 5:00 p.m.: Info Tent/ Charging Station open
  • 5:30 p.m.: All riders must be packed up. No camping or RVing on Sunday.

Checking In!

Rider Check-In is open on Thursday from 3:00-7:00 p.m.

PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY.


If you are riding for 2 days, you may check-in the evening before your ride between noon-6 p.m. (note that evening's dinner is NOT included with your two day registration) or the morning of your ride from 6:30- 9 a.m.

If you are riding for 1 day, check-in the morning of your ride, from 6:30-9:00 a.m.


YOU MUST BE ON THE ROUTE BY 9:30 a.m. so our sweeps can get out there.


CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:


  1. Temporary parking is in the circle in front of the Gould Field House is allowed only to drop off your camping items. Flaggers will be there to direct you and keep the line moving. SPACE HERE IS LIMITED. DROP OFF YOUR BAGS AND PROCEED TO PARKING LOT.
  2. Proceed to the weekend long parking lot area as directed by the Flaggers. ADA parking is also available. If you are heading to the RV lot instead, let the flaggers know so they can give you the correct directions. WE RECOMMEND LEAVING YOUR BIKE ON YOUR VEHICLE TO BIKE BACK FROM THE PARKING LOT.
  3. After you return from parking, proceed to the Check-In area. You do NOT need to bring a printed confirmation of your registration.
  4. At check-in, you will receive paper copies of the routes, and a welcome gift with a license plate, and your tent rental info, if applicable.
  5. Retrieve your bags, set-up your tenting area, and relax!

NOTES:

  1. We do NOT provide a locked or gated area for your bikes. While we have never had an issue, we recommend you bring a lock with you.
  2. Please bring cash for the Beverage Garden.
  3. If you have an e-bike, you will be directed to the charging area at check-in. E-Bike drop off for charging will be daily from 7:00-7:30 p.m. & pick up will be daily from 7:00-7:30 a.m. Bikes must be dropped off during this window.
  4. If you added towels to your registration, you can pick them up at the Info Tent.
  5. Additional items are available for purchase at the Info Tent in limited quantities: (towels, tents, rider guests, additional meals)
  6. Charging is available for electronics during Info Tent hours. We HIGHLY advise that you bring your own charging bank as we cannot guarantee we will have space for all devices.
  7. If you have a CPAP device that needs to be plugged in during the night, please let check-in know, and they will direct you to set up your tent in the appropriate area.

COVID-19 Reminder

With Covid cases on the rise we ask that you test before joining us for BikeMaine Weekend. If you test positive or are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home. If you are able to, we also suggest packing a test for the weekend, our medics will have a small amount on hand. Masks will be available throughout the weekend however masking will be optional.
