Saturday, 7pm - BODYTRAFFIC: Unplugged

Kauai Concert Association presents

BODYTRAFFIC: Unplugged puts the spotlight on the company’s extraordinary dancers and the power of the choreography itself. Featuring three works from their repertory, performed in rehearsal clothes with minimal lighting and no sets—no fuss, just dance—this intimate program is the company’s electrifying final bow. In 2007, Tina Finkelman Berkett founded the company in Los Angeles, driven by a commitment to elevate contemporary dance. Under her leadership, BODYTRAFFIC has become a beacon in the global dance community, known for its innovative choreography, world-class dancers, and powerful performances. Through her curation and vision, she has captivated and inspired audiences around the world. We are thrilled to have the company back at ADF to celebrate its final season and be part of its final Tour of Thanks. The KCC performance is the very final of the Company!

Sunday, 2pm - Music From the HOLOGRAM

Joseph Moore invites you into a dreamlike world of music, memory, and imagination with Music from the Hologram, an original immersive piano experience on Sunday, May 31 at 2 PM. Blending original piano compositions with atmospheric storytelling and visual imagery inspired by island landscapes, oceans, forests, waterfalls, dreams, and personal life experiences, the performance moves beyond the traditional concert format into something more cinematic and emotionally reflective. Moore describes the music as emerging from “the inner landscape of a lifetime,” where memories, emotions, and imagination transform into sound. Audience members may feel as though they are traveling through fragments of forgotten dreams and reflections of places that seem both mysterious and strangely familiar. Known throughout Kauaʻi as a performer, educator, composer, and Artistic Director of Kauaʻi Chorale, Moore has created Music from the Hologram as an artistic journey where music, atmosphere, memory, and storytelling merge into one continuous experience. Elsewhere On Our Garden Isle...

An Askew Look at Kauai Happenings

An Askew Look at Kauai Happenings was inspired by the volunteer work of Kauai arts supporter Greg Askew, who, for a very long time, sent out his own What's Happenin' eblast. Greg and I (the other Greg) got together to combine his efforts into our Elsewhere on our Garden Isle. If you have a non-profit, non-political event you would like included, email me.
