Graduation and last day of school are just around the corner
Graduation for the Class of 2022 is just one week away on Friday, May 20. The last day of school for grades PreK-11 is Wednesday, May 25. For more details on graduation and last day of school logistics, please read to the bottom of this week's edition.
At the May meeting of the Carrollton Board of Education, district leaders celebrated 13 retirees for their years of service. Board of Education recognizes 2022 retirees for dedicated service
District and school leadership and colleagues alike paid tribute Tuesday night to 13 Carrollton City Schools teachers and support staff who have announced their retirement at the end of this school year.

Senior Adulting Day prepares CHS students for next steps
Before the month of May is over, graduating seniors officially will enter the world of adulthood – even if they aren’t quite ready – but this year Carrollton High School decided to do something about that by launching what is sure to become a special addition to graduation preparation.

CES STEM students learn about world of electric circuits
CES STEM students explored the world of electric circuits this week. Students followed directions carefully in order to successfully get their creations powered up and working. These future engineers did a fantastic job!

The Carrollton City Schools Board of Education approved a new hire to serve as the Director of the Carrollton City Schools Education Foundation at the board meeting Tuesday night.

CUES and CJHS ROV teams clinch top spots at MATE ROV Competition
The Carrollton Upper Elementary and Carrollton Junior High School ROV teams competed at the Southeast Regional MATE ROV Competition in Savannah last weekend. The CUES teams, Challengers of the Deep and Excessive Axolotls, secured the top two spots in their respective divisions and the CJHS team placed third in the navigator division.
