We have previously shared the nationwide injunction that had been put in place on beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting by a district court ruling as the Corporate Transparency Act and BOI reporting rules were deemed “likely unconstitutional.”

On Monday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals granted a Department of Justice motion to lift the injunction imposed.

After the Fifth Circuit order, FinCEN, which enforces the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), announced that the new filing deadline for reporting companies that had been required to supply BOI information is now Jan. 13, 2025.

Although we offer our services to help file BOI (we charge a fee of $200 per filing), we continue to feel business owners can complete this filing on their own. Follow the link below to the FinCEN website to complete the BOI reporting before Jan 13, 2025 (it normally take 10-15 minutes to complete).
