Announcing the BOLLI Oral History Project (BOHP)
BOLLI members have extraordinary stories to tell--about their lives, their careers, their adventures. Our stories form part of the legacy each one of us has established over a lifetime, and are worth preserving for both ourselves and our families. The goal of the BOHP is to capture your stories through recorded interviews that can be shared with friends and family and sometimes, with the consent of those we interview, with the BOLLI community. Priority will go to those age 85 and older. To express interest in participating in BOHP, please click here or contact Peter Bradley at [email protected].

Be a Good Citizen of the BOLLI ZOOM Classroom
We have learned a great deal these past months about how to best utilize Zoom at BOLLI. Please click here to view customary BOLLI Zoom practices, including how to set up your computer and camera, how to mute and unmute yourself, and tips for how to be a good citizen of the BOLLI Zoom classroom. If you will be using an iPad to access your BOLLI courses, please click here for handy tips.
Whenever possible please
- Turn off the ringer on your phone and make sure you are in a quiet space;
- Remain quietly seated and attentive to your classroom colleagues and group leader;
- Follow the flow of conversation carefully and participate in the dialogue, referring to other participants by name and referencing their comments and questions;
- Turn your video off if you need to do something distracting such as change locations, stretch or eat.
If you ever need help with Zoom, please don't hesitate to reach out to Nicole Grant, Program Coordinator at 781-736-2992 and/or [email protected]. Please give her as much information as possible about the issue you are experiencing. Either Nicole or another staff person or volunteer will be back in touch with you promptly.

Conversations on Race in Our Daily Lives
Thursday, September 30 from 4:00 to 5:30
We have been meeting for more than a year and have experienced many discussions that have increased our awareness and expanded our knowledge. From time to time, however, individual members of the group have expressed concerns about the need to be “doing something”. As a result, we’ve decided to use this first of the fall term conversations to reflect on the goals of the group and to consider the question, “What Can I Do?”
We’ve chosen a recent book, Letters to My White Male Friends, by Dax-Devlon Ross, to help us with this exploration. The Our Next Meeting page of our website (here) links to excerpts from the book and contains other materials to supplement the conversation.
