We hope your spring season is going well despite all the wet weather. We checked in with a few of our league coordinators to get their thoughts on the Bolts spring..
From Don Whitaker, NEP Coordinator
Our NEP teams have had a great spring season.
Many of our teams are at or near the top of their respective divisions across all levels of NEP play.
Several of our teams with strong finishes could receive an automatic qualifying placement into the NPL for the 2019-20 season.
Best of luck to our NEP teams still playing in state cup.
The tournament continues this weekend and we expect to see many Bolts teams advancing on to the state semifinals and finals in the coming weeks.
From Sam Matteson, ECNL Coordinator
Our ECNL teams have continued to produce strong results this spring in the highly competitive Northeast Conference.
Our
04 ECNL team has had great success this year and are close to securing a top 3 finish to qualify for the ENPL Playoff.
We are excited to see five of our ECNL teams make it to the State Cup Semi-Finals this weekend in Lancaster with our 05 team already booking their place in the finals on June 1st.
From Chris Payne USL2 Coordinator
Boston Bolts USL2 started their season of on the road this past weekend at Westchester Flames, with the lineup including Bolts DA alums Jack Doran, Jacob Maddox, Joey Morrison, Eric Udelson and Kyle Ryan the boys came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 tie. Doran scoring with a shot from 25 yards out.
This past Wednesday the Bolts hosted GPS Portland Phoenix at Mount Ida campus and a strong first half had the Bolts create some great opportunities but found the Portland keeper in great form. The second half Portland managed to get on the score sheet in the 82nd minute to snatch a road win.
The Bolts next play at home on the 22nd of May at Mount Ida against Black Rock FC, last season's divisional champions. We hope to see many of you out to support the team which includes many Bolts alums and players from local college programs. Admission is free.
