Boys ECNL   #RaiseTheGame 
Bolts ECNL teams had a strong showing last weekend at the NEFC Pre-season Showcase.
In the showcase group both the 04 and 02 teams went undefeated with our 03 team having the opportunity to play in Gillette Stadium earning a 1-0 win against ECNL opponent FC Stars! The 2003 ECNL team was able to debut their New Balance custom jerseys they earned for being the top fundraising team in the club at the 24 hour Marathon!

05 ECNL win Championship at NEFC Tourney
The 05 team did not allow a goal all weekend and finished tournament champions!  They will be in Connecticut this weekend as they take on FSA and CFC.

Jefferson Cup 2019 Championship Division Preview: U-16 Boys  

Boston Bolts 03 Central Elite (MA)
Coach: Bryan Johnson
One of two Massachusetts squads competing in the Jeff Cup's top U-16 bracket, Boston Bolts 03 Central Elite is the reigning US Youth Soccer State Cup champion in the 2003 age group. The team also won the New England Premiership league title last spring, posting an undefeated 5-0-3 record. They went on to reach the semifinals of the 2018 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships in Virginia. In showcase play, Boston captured a division title at the highly competitive Needham Memorial Day Tournament last May.
** NOTE: After their stellar performances last spring, the 2003 Central NEP team was promoted to NPL for 2019!!

Two NEP League games kickoff this weekend with our Bolts Girls 2002 SNE team facing NEFC Central and our BU14 Bolts LPDA Minutemen playing Seacoast Benfica on Sunday.   Spring NEP season officially opens on April 6-7th
Bolts College Night is NEXT weekend

Our Spring College Night will be held at Mount Ida College 777 Dedham St. Newton in the Auditorium on Sunday, April 7th at 6PM.  The college process can be complicated and cause anxiety so let us help you navigate through it!

The event is open to current Bolts players and families and we have to limit to 160 so please register early.
We cover various topics like researching schools, timelines, admissions & financial aid, communication, playing soccer in college.  What to expect when you don't know where to begin, or how to figure it out when you're in the thick of it.  
Bolts players attend many college showcases and we want them all to put their best foot forward to be identified by the right coaches, the best schools and understand the opportunities.  The information is focused for high school age players, but families with younger players are also welcome.

According to Top Drawer Soccer, Boston Bolts were the top club in our region with number of college committed players last year!  Many players in our club want to continue to play in college and beyond and we want to help support our players with their goals.  With that in mind, we  are offering this event as a way for Bolts boys  to showcase their talents in front of college coaches.

Bolts EAST Region takes Baltimore!
Some Bolts East Region teams traveled south last weekend to compete in the Baltimore Mania Tournament.  The camaraderie between players, parents and coaches made for a memorable weekend both on and off the field.  And the weather wasn't bad either!!

Some highlights from the weekend:
  • 2009 Boys were champions of the 2008 Boys Cup Division.
  • 2008 Boys went 2-1 with the only loss coming to the champion of their division by a score of 3-2.
  • 2007 boys lost in the semifinal to the #4 ranked team in Maryland.  
  • 2006 boys went undefeated, but missed the playoffs via tiebreaker to the team who won the event. 
  • 2005 boys dealt with injuries and illness all weekend and competed in each match in a very tough group.  
  • 2004 boys got results in two of their three matches, but were unable to advance to the playoffs. 
Southern New England (SNE) Bolts win TWO Championships!
Congrats to the 2008 SNE and 2005 SNE boys who excelled in the NEFC preseason tournament last weekend. We can't wait to see you take on the spring NEP season!!
