IN-PERSON LUNCHEONS RETURN WITH A FOCUS ON LEADERSHIP
On August 25 the Industry Luncheon Committee hosted an outdoor event packed with information, ideas and inspiration. Top industry leaders discussed their career paths, how their leadership styles were shaped and where leadership strategies are headed in the future.

Moderator Cini Apostol kept the conversation going with thoughtful questions and a quick wit while the audience enjoyed lunch outdoors. Our panelists Bud Pharris, Karrina Cassidy, and Mike Bennett delivered on the much anticipated event, discussing how they've developed as professionals and leaders, what they look for in future leaders, and where they see the industry going.

Thank you to all who attended. And thank you to all our Event Display Partners for their support.

YOUNG LEADERS' ANGELS NIGHT AND TAILGATE UNDER THE 'BIG A'!
Our Young Leaders Committee hosted a sold out event on the evening of July 29th. The festivities kicked off with the age old tradition of tailgating under the Big A. After missing out on this tradition last year, everyone was eagerly anticipating the night which did not disappoint!

A few games of catch and a couple frosty beverages helped get everyone ready for an evening of fun. Thank you to all who attended and we look forward to cheering the Angels onto a win next Summer!
AFTERNOON BUZZ HOSTED BY YOUNG LEADERS COMMITTEE
On August 19, aspiring leaders and young professionals had the chance to listen to and ask questions with Bryant Mork, our own Young Leaders Committee Chair and Senior Property Manager with Goodman.

The intimate gathering allowed for a casual atmosphere and the ability to engage and really take a deeper dive into what the early stages of a career path may look like.

Thank you to Bryant for sharing his stories, and thank you to all who attended and participated in this informative evening.
SWEET!! OUR PHILANTHROPY COMMITTEE CONTINUES ITS 'McBakers' TRADITION WITH THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
On Tuesday, August 17th the Philanthropy Committee enjoyed the chance to put some smiles by dropping off treats at the Ronald McDonald House in Orange, across the street from CHOC Hospital.

The Philanthropy has a long tradition of supporting RMHC, and they aren't letting the pandemic slow them down. This is their 3rd visit to the house in 2021 and we look forward to being back soon!
ACTION NEEDED! HELP DEFEAT BILL TARGETING WAREHOUSES
Join us in STOPPING AB 701, a proposed bill that, if passed, will cripple the warehouse industry in California.

Assembly Bill 701 (Gonzalez; D-San Diego) passed the Senate Judiciary Committee on a 9-2 vote, where some positive changes were made to the bill.

Nevertheless, AB701 does not meet the needs of California's warehouse sector with its 'one size fits all' regulatory approach. Instead it doubles down on regulations and fees, which will only be passed on to you! The consumer! CLICK HERE to help stop AB 701!
