Promoting EV Charging Stations For Commercial & Residential Developments
December 11, 2019
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Across the state, electric vehicle (EV) registrations are increasing as EV makes and models continue to diversify and expand. With the increase in EVs on the road, the demand for EV charging continues to rise. This demand presents opportunity for developers, property managers, and designers to support this emerging technology.

Join Energetics on December 11, 2019 at 12:00 pm for a webinar presentation and Q&A session on how EV charging stations can be implemented in commercial and real estate developments.

Topics will include:
  1. Intro to EV Charging - Reviews EV and EV charging basics, cost considerations, EV market characteristics, and benefits of EV charging
  2. Developer Incentives - Sustainability recognition for EV charging, LEED points, incentives and resources for EV charging technology
  3. EV Building Codes & Guidelines - Building code examples, facilitating installation and cost mitigation, and best practices

Energetics, a Division of Akimeka, LLC, is an engineering and management consulting firm assisting government and industry in developing new solutions in energy, climate, transportation, and security. ROC the Day is a 24-hour, online event that gives people in our community an opportunity to support all of the not-for-profit organizations doing great work in the nine-county Greater Rochester area. People will visit ROCtheDay.org, a secure online giving platform, to make a gift. All ROC the Day gifts will help local people and organizations.

Donors (our fabulous ROCstars) can make a real difference by giving to one or multiple organizations to support their personal philanthropic passions—whether that passion is for animals, arts & culture, education, health, religion, the environment, human services or general community benefit. It’s an easy, one-stop way for them to fill their "cart" with causes that matter most to them. Donors and not-for-Profits should tell their friends, family, co-workers and social networks about the causes they’ve chosen to support and encourage others to ROC the Day, too!

The Family Autism Center is a g rassroots non-profit organization created by a collaboration of educators and parents. The mission is to provide traditional family experiences for families in Rochester, NY and surrounding areas. The Family Autism Center is an inclusive organization, and serves families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays as well as families without disabilities.

Green Lease Guide: A Guide For Landlords And Tenants To Collaborate On Energy Efficiency And Sustainable Practices
Thanks in part to support from YARDI, the Green Lease Guide is now free to download . This essential guide on crafting a green lease will help solve your sustainability challenges and build stronger working relationships with your tenants.

While the environmental and financial benefits of energy-efficient buildings are undisputed, property professionals need a foolproof plan to execute a lease that achieves and maintains sustainable building operations. For more than 30 years, BOMA International has provided the industry with a model lease agreement that is considered the standard for commercial leases. In 2005, BOMA greened its model lease to provide the industry with a step-by-step guide on how to execute a lease with sustainability attributes. This new version updates the guidelines again.

Green Lease Guide: A Guide for Landlords and Tenants to Collaborate on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Practices is the most recent update to the model green lease. It provides instructions to write green operations and management practices into lease agreements, as well as legal language to facilitate ongoing implementation of sustainable building practices. This green lease guide covers all aspects of a standard lease agreement, such as models for prime lease agreements, guaranty of lease and form subleases.
