GRANT APPLICATION CLOSES FRIDAY
Apply for the Artist Recovery Grant Today
Applications for the Baltimore City Artist Recovery Grant (ARG), will close on Friday, March 18, 2022. The ARG is open to individual artists and performers of every discipline who are at least 18 years old and live in the City of Baltimore. To apply, click the button below to set up a free account on the Submittable platform. From there, you will be able to view and submit your ARG application.
Baltimore City Arts Council Is Seeking Panel Reviewers
The Baltimore City Arts Council is looking for panel reviewers to evaluate grant applications for the various grant programs BOPA is responsible for managing.

BOPA'S COMMUNITY ARTS GRANT
Up to $17,000 of Support for Public Art Projects
The Community Arts Grant produced by BOPA supports community-artist collaborative design & implementation of new, exterior wall mural projects sited in underserved communities of Baltimore City. Grant applicants may request up to $17,000 in mural project funding support. The application deadline is Monday, May 2, 2022. To apply, click below.

Kite Commissions for the Big Baltimore Kite Fest
The Creative Alliance seeks to commission artists & community groups to create kites to fly in the 2nd Big Baltimore Kite Festival. They are looking for kite designs that exemplify either the artist’s cultural kite tradition or celebrate their creativity — or both! Completed kites should be ready to fly.

Creative Alliance will provide awards on a sliding scale of $50, $100, and $250 for proposals to support materials and artist fees. Awarded artists and groups also earn a complimentary membership to the Creative Alliance. WE ARE ALL MUSIC
Grants for Nonprofit Music Organizations
The We Are All Music Foundation (WAAM) is now accepting applications for the 2022 Power Of Music grants. Their goal is to award between 8–10 grants ranging from $5,000–50,000, for a total of no less than $200,000.

WAAM’s mission is to provide meaningful support to the most impactful nonprofit organizations that use the power of music to improve lives and benefit society. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 31, 2022. For details, click below.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Mural Project in Orange, Virginia
The Arts Center in Orange, Virginia requests proposals for three outdoor murals to reflect and enhance their community as they celebrate 25 years of bringing art to the area. Murals will be painted between June–September 2022.

The Arts Center in Orange will provide each selected artist with an artist fee of $2,000, as well as lodging for the duration of the mural application process. Each artist will also receive a supply budget of $1,500 to complete their mural. The deadline to submit is Friday, April 1, 2022. OPPORTUNITY FOR LGBTQ+ ARTISTS
An Exhibition Hosted by the Frederick Arts Council
The Frederick Arts Council (FAC) invites LGBTQ+ artists to consider and respond to the idea of infinite growth. The world has room for infinite growth and room to experience love, friendship, bliss, heartbreak, and loss.

INFUSION CALL FOR ARTISTS
For a Film Festival & Exhibition in East Baltimore
Baltimore filmmakers and artists are invited to submit films and artwork to be screened and exhibited in an exhibition and film festival titled, "Hear Us Now?!?!" that will be on view at the Hoen Building in East Baltimore.

This event is focused on Baltimore, social justice, and the effects of COVID-19. The festival and exhibition is a follow up to the 2019 inFusion Film Festival and exhibition "Are We Loud Enough?" YOUTHWORKS IS HIRING
Summer Opportunity for Baltimore City Youth
YouthWorks 2022 will operate a five-week summer program for youth from July 5–August 5, five hours per day, five days per week, totaling 25 hours per week. YouthWorkers will be introduced to workplace experiences, financial literacy development, career exploration opportunities, and skills training. FUNDING FOR VISUAL ARTISTS OVER 45
The Lillian Orlowsky & William Freed Grant
The Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Grant is awarded annually to under-recognized American painters over the age of 45 who demonstrate financial need. The mission of this grant is to promote public awareness of and a commitment to American art, and to encourage interest in artists who lack adequate recognition. Awards include a cash grant, ranging from $5,000–30,000 and an exhibition at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. $25,000 BOOK AWARD
Annual Award for an Illustrated Book
In 2013, Joan K. Davidson, president of Furthermore, established the Alice award to honor her mother, Alice Manheim Kaplan. The $25,000 Alice award is given annually to a richly illustrated book that makes a valuable contribution to its field and demonstrates high standards of production. Books selected by the award jury for the Alice Short List each receive $5,000. The organization submitting the book must be a 501(c)3 and have acted as a partner in the book’s production. CREATIVE CAPITAL AWARD
Wild Futures: Art, Culture, Impact
Creative Capital provides grants to support the creation of groundbreaking art by innovative and adventurous artists across the country. Grants are awarded through an annual competition open to citizens, permanent residents, and O-1 visa holders of the United States. In celebration of their upcoming 25th Anniversary, Creative Capital is pleased to announce “Wild Futures: Art, Culture, Impact” — the one-time theme for 2023/2024 grant cycle.

Over a two-year period, the Creative Capital Awards will provide up to $5 million in grants to help realize 100 artists’ projects with awards of varying amounts up to $50,000 with additional advisory services per project. HAPPY HOUR FOR WOMEN IN THE ARTS
Hosted by the Baltimore Museum of Art
On Wednesday, April 6, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) is hosting a networking happy hour for women in the arts. Connect and network with other art enthusiasts and professionals from the Baltimore community around the exhibition Joan Mitchell. The evening includes access to the exhibition, music by DJ Amy Reid, desserts by Gundalow Gourmet, and custom cocktails by Charismatic Creations.
