OPPORTUNITY FOR ART LOVERS
Become a Volunteer Gallery Guide
The Baltimore City Arts Council is looking for contemporary art enthusiasts to serve as Volunteer/Gallery Guides at the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower and the Top of the World Observation Level. Volunteer/Gallery Guides provide superior front-line service to all visitors by welcoming them to the facility and providing information on exhibitions displayed throughout the building.

Volunteer/Gallery Guides are scheduled for 4-hour shifts during the facilities' weekend operating hours. Interested applicants must be 18 years or older and fluent in English (Spanish a plus). MARYLAND ARTS SUMMIT
MCA Is Looking for Paid Presenters
The Maryland Arts Summit is a statewide conference presented by and for arts advocates, arts educators & teaching artists, independent artists, arts organizations, community stakeholders, and more. It is an opportunity to network, share the fantastic work that is being done across the state, learn about communities different from your own, celebrate the accomplishments of the arts sector, and bring to light where systems have fallen short of the support required to help artists and organizations thrive.

Maryland Arts Summit will take place at UMBC on Thursday and Friday, June 9–10, 2022, and Maryland Citizens for the Arts is still looking for paid presenters. Each approved proposal will receive complimentary admission to the Summit and an honorarium of $350 for the first presenter. For each additional presenter that takes part in a presentation, an additional $150 will be added to compensation. The deadline has been extended to 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022. YouthWorks Is Hiring for Part-Time Summer Jobs
YouthWorks 2022 will operate a five-week summer program for youth from July 5–August 5, five hours per day, five days per week, totaling 25 hours per week. YouthWorkers will be introduced to workplace experiences, financial literacy development, career exploration opportunities, and skills training. TWO-WEEK FALL RESIDENCY
Hosted by the Bethany Arts Community
Bethany Arts Community in Ossining, NY, offers residencies to emerging and established artists for the development of both new works and works in progress. The Fall Multidisciplinary Residency runs for approximately two weeks. Two options are offered: September 9–24, or October 11–23, 2022. The Multidisciplinary Residency includes room, board, and a $225 stipend per week. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 15. ONE-MONTH RESIDENCY IN ITALY
Special Fellowships With Travel Stipends Available
Located in the fishing village of Bogliasco near Genoa, in a region of extraordinary beauty whose landscape has stimulated creative expression for centuries, the Bogliasco Foundation offers one-month residencies to artists fro around the world. Bogliasco Fellowships are awarded to gifted individuals working in all disciplines who demonstrate significant achievement, commensurate with their age and experience. (Please note that Bogliasco Fellowships are not awarded to students currently in a degree-granting program.) UPLIFTING THEATRES OF COLOR
Unrestricted Funding for BIPOC Theatres
THRIVE! Uplifting Theatres of Color is being offered with generous support from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and developed and administered by Theatre Communications Group (TCG) with an Advisory Circle of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) theatre leaders. THRIVE! provides unrestricted funds for BIPOC theatres that are closely connected to and have positive impact on their chosen communities. They will award 25 rapid response grants of $10,000 each and 20 general operating grants of $50,000 each, all unrestricted funds. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. GRANTS FOR ORGANIZATIONS
Annual Award for an Illustrated Book
New Work Project Grants from the Harpo Foundation are awarded to nonprofit organizations in support of new work by under-recognized artists 21 years or older. The deadline for organizations to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) for the 2022 grant cycle is Friday, April 22, 2022.

The Harpo Foundation also awards grants to individual visual artists. The deadline for individual artists to submit an application is Friday, April 29, 2022.

Planning & Project Support for New Artworks
The Public Art Across Maryland (PAAM) New Artworks Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council offers funding to artists and organizations to support the planning, creation, and installation of new local public art projects. You can apply for Panning Grants of $5,000 or Project Grants of up to $20,000. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 13, 2022. EMERGENCY GRANTS FOR VISUAL ARTISTS
From the Foundation for Contemporary Arts
Emergency Grants from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts provide urgent funding for visual and performing artists who have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding, or who incur unexpected expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Emergency Grants is the only active, multi-disciplinary program that offers immediate assistance of this kind to artists living and working anywhere in the United States, for projects occurring in the U.S. and abroad. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To meet artists’ last-minute needs in a timely manner, FCA’s Emergency Grants panel meets monthly to review requests. For details, click below.
