BP GIBSON HOSTS PRIDE FLAG RAISING AND AWARDS CEREMONY
On June 2nd, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson will join with LGBTQIA+ leaders and allies to host her FIRST Pride Flag Raising and Award Ceremony in front of the Bronx County Courthouse on 851 Grand Concourse. The event will be emceed by actor and entertainer Tym Moss and will feature an award presentation and raising of the Progress Pride flag.
This year`s honorees include Carlos Cortes (Executive Director of the ChocoBar Cortes brand), Lailani Muniz (Chief Operations Officer for the New York Transgender Bodybuilding Federation and Trauma-Informed Care Specialist at the Damian Family Care Center), Mx. B Hawk Snipes (Entrepreneur, social activist, entertainer & Model from NYC), Jaisen Garcia-Castillo (Prevention Services and Outreach Specialist at Destination Tomorrow) and a special surprise award recipient.
This event is the official kick-off of Pride in the Bronx, and the BP`s Annual Pride and Allies Celebration will follow on June 15th from 6-8 PM at Rosa`s at Park.
Both the Pride Flag Raising and Pride and Allies Celebration are sponsored by media outlets BronxNet and News 12.
