Good news on the twice delayed trip to NYC. We were able to negotiate a 2nd year buy back for seniors. So this year’s seniors will be getting most of their money back for the trip that didn’t happen. Fingers are crossed that this trip WILL happen in Spring 2022!
Since the beginning of the semester, I’ve been meeting with all the kids for one-on-one ten mintues meetings, and I am amazed by their resiliency! I’m very proud of them during these tough times.
Four high schools from across the Puget sound region will combine forces for an epic virtual choir festival with an incredibly gifted choral clinician, Dr. Angela Broeker Kasper from Western Washington University. The culmination of this festival will be a joint virtual choir performance featuring the combined talents of Ballard High School, Kamiak High School, Franklin Pierce High School and Steilacoom High School Choirs performing Andrea Ramsey’s arrangement of “Hope Lingers On.” The students will get to virtually meet choristers from other high schools and share in the joy of creating music together.
In order to meet together with all choirs, there will be occasions where students will be asked to meet on a Wednesday from 11:00-12:00. This first group meeting will be Wednesday, March 3rd. Students should see schoology for details.
