"How Can We Keep from Singing!"
CHANGES to IN-PERSON WORSHIP
The Session voted unanimously, Sunday, June 13, 2021, to no longer require masks and social distancing for fully vaccinated* people attending Balmoral Presbyterian Church for worship and small group activites in the new part of our building.

And everyone, masked or not, can sing in worship, including masked unvaccinated people and masked partially vaccinated people whom the church will trust to keep wearing masks and practice social distancing.

Classrooms A and B are also now available for meetings of Balmoral small groups including the Book Club, Writers Circle, Trouble I've Seen, Glenda Ellis Small Group, Bailey Small Group, and groups coordinated by Pastoral Care Resident, Rev. Elizabeth Dick.

Reservations for Classrooms A and B are required.
Please contact Calendar Coordinator Barry Dotson
barry.dotson@yahoo.com
signed text/cell: 901. 277.1596
to schedule the use of Classrooms A and B

We will take our time welcoming the non-Balmoral singing groups and other organizations back into the building. Look for that to happen this fall.

*In general, people are considered fully vaccinated: 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine.

The Overstory
by Richard Powers
JULY 13, 1:30pm

Going from the kitchen to the bedroom, the dining room and beyond, Bryson examines the evolution of almost everything— from Thomas Jefferson's contribution to home architecture, to wallpaper, lawns, plumbing, even cemeteries. You'll learn a little about a lot of interesting stuff.
– Led by Janice Hill
Desert Queen:
The Extraordinary Life of Gertrude Bell
by Janet Wallach
SEPTEMBER 14, 1:30pm
Nonfiction/Biography - The daughter of a wealthy British industrialist, Gertrude Bell, comes of age in Victorian England. Intelligent and eager to escape society’s narrow confines, Bell goes off to college and eventually becomes enamored with the Middle East. Her fluency in Arabic facilitates travel in the desert where she encounters Saudi tribes as she makes archaeological discoveries. The knowledge she gains proves valuable to the British military once WWI arrives. A fascinating life and story.
