National Library Week begins Monday, April 19
Bloomingdale Public Library, as with all libraries, is rethinking the way we serve our patrons until our daily lives get back to some sort of normal. Due to that change, the theme for National Library Week has changed from Find Your Place at the Library to Find the Library at Your Place! We are doing our best to figure out new ways to support you, and continue to be a place that is "for learning, for life". We will continue to keep you informed of any changes we make to our policies, schedule and services as we get used to this 'new normal', and look forward to making this transition with you! If you have any comments you'd like to share about how BPL enriches your life, please email and your comments will be shared in a video we are preparing to celebrate National Library Week. Comments received by Thursday, April 22 at 9:00 a.m. will be considered for the video compilation.

How to Contact BPL
While the library is closed, we are monitoring questions and services remotely as best we can. Please contact us via email at OR via text by texting mybpl to 66746. You can also access both of these options from our website - simply go to, click on "Ask a Librarian", and in the new window, type in your question and check how you'd like a response - via text or email. The option you click will change the box below asking for either your cell phone number to receive a text response or your email address for a response. Then click "Submit" and someone will respond as soon as we can.

We thank you for your patience in this difficult time. Stay safe, and we hope to see you healthy when restrictions are lifted!
