Changes to BPL Hours - Now Open our Regular Schedule
Beginning Monday, August 17, we will be resume our normal business hours:
Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: closed through Labor Day,
then open 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Building Requirements
In order to help protect our patrons and staff, everyone visiting the library must follow these requirements:
  • Wear a face covering or mask covering their nose and mouth at all times.
  • Maintain social distancing of at least six feet apart.
  • Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer often.
  • Time in the library is limited to 1 hour.

Meeting Room usage and in-person indoor programming will continue to be unavailable through October 31, 2020.

Summer Reading 2020
Prize Pick-up

All Summer Reading Program registrants can stop by the library to pick up your prizes. Prizes for children 6th grade and younger are at the Youth Services Desk downstairs, while prizes for teens and adults are at the Adult Reference Desk on the main level. Prizes will be available through September 5, 2020.
BPL Makerspace
While our building has been closed to the public, we've been hard at work creating a new makerspace in the library.

We're asking for your input on what you’d like to see in YOUR makerspace, including equipment and instruction, as well as what types of hours would suit your needs. A survey can be found at www.mybpl.org/survey, or at www.mybpl.org/makerspace.

Weekly on Thursdays through August
We will post a recipe and YouTube link on our calendar and Facebook page. It will be available for you to watch the entire day on Thursday before the video is taken down, so you can watch at a time that is convenient for you. No registration necessary.

Wi-Fi Extended throughout Parking Lot
BPL has installed an exterior Wi-Fi antenna to our building so that our Wi-Fi signal now extends throughout our parking lot and Gazebo area. Residents without home Wi-Fi may now use this resource for remote learning, downloading of eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and more. We have designated the back row of our parking lot as the official Drive-Up Wi-Fi location and is signed as such. Please remember to keep up social distancing rules. Remember that this is a parking lot that is still used by the Village of Bloomingdale and others, so observe all safety precautions as normal. Wi-Fi is availabe 8:30am to 10:00pm every day.
