There are so many things going on at Bloomingdale Public Library this month!

Here are just a few of the important dates and exciting events going on in July (click on any highlighted items for more information):

July 4 - Closed in observance of Independence Day
The Great Scott Magic Show
The Great Scott Green will captivate the audience as he brings a mix of laughter, magic and fun sure to keep the whole family entertained. The Great Scott is Chicago's favorite magician and has been featured on ABC, WGN and FOX!

Monday, July 22 | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Drop-In
Learn how to protect yourself and fend off an attacker with advice from Bloomingdale Police Officer Dawn Odoi and a physical demonstration of self-defense moves from Tai Chi Instructor, Bob Plucinsky. For adult women and teen girls only. Registration is required. Click here to register.
Computer Courses Especially for Seniors
Especially for seniors, these courses are a friendly introduction to computer topics aimed at seniors. Lots of guided hands-on practice and time for questions.

Registration is not required, but is recommended to reserve seating and to make materials available. Click the program titles to register.

Tuesday, July 9 | 2:00-3:00 pm
Learn about word processing and the basics of dealing with Windows.

Tuesday, July 16 | 2:00-3:00 p.m.
We'll cover internet topics including browsing the web, email questions and concerns, how the cloud works, and how to avoid viruses.

Tuesday, July 23 | 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Come in to learn about tablets and smart phones. Students will be provided iPads or they are welcome to work on their own devices.
BPL is Now Your Neighbor on
Nextdoor.com is an online neighborhood community where Bloomingdale residents can meet online and discuss things that pertain to their community. You can now join Bloomingdale Public Library as part of the community there, as well as on our other social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).

The Bloomingdale Public Library now has 5 monthly eNewsletters and 1 bi-monthly eNewsletter - you may subscribe to just the ones that interest you!

We will be publishing monthly newsletters focused on the following areas:
