"Fill a Capsule for Christmas" Campaign to
Benefit Space Coast's Struggling Families
As NASA took another giant step for mankind with the landing of the I-Sight craft on Mars, several Brevard County schools are hoping to take a similar leap for humankind, by creating Mission to Mars “capsules” to collect basic necessities for families in need this holiday season.

The “Mission GTG-ITL 2018 - Fill A Capsule for Christmas” campaign is a collaboration between the Sharing Center of Brevard, Special Olympics FL, and Brevard Public Schools. Capsule creations will be on display in various locations throughout the county. You can support the effort by dropping donations of hygiene and first aid items in capsules through December 13.

The capsule with the most donations will win unrestricted funds (up to $1000) for their school, to be awarded at the “Fill a Capsule for Christmas” Giving Fest on December 16.

Family friendly games, resources, raffles and food will be available at the ‘Fest’. Experience virtual reality, S.T.E.A.M. activities and see all of the capsules on display. Live holiday performances will be taking place throughout the event.

It was hard fought battle, but the Titusville officers prevailed and won the game. This event is one of Jackson Middle School’s favored activities as it goes a long way in helping to bolster the relationship between the police and the community.
