To our valued BRATECC Members, Partners & Friends,
As the consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak continue to escalate, BRATECC has taken several precautionary measures to contribute to the fight against Coronavirus and minimize the risk to our staff and members. These measures are informed by the most current guidance from leading health authorities and experts, which we are monitoring closely.
Steps taken due to COVID-19:
- Postponement of BRATECC Events
Following the instructions of the City of Houston, we have postponed the events scheduled for March, including the Best of the Year Award, which was planned to be held during CERAWEEK 2020 in Houston. The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) which traditionally happens in May, has been postponed to the third quarter of 2020. BRATECC’s most traditional Annual Offshore Breakfast – held on Wednesday’s morning of OTC week – has naturally been postponed and will happen concurrently with OTC 2020.
Our events' sponsors, as well as those who had already registered for the events above are being contacted by our team. If you are a sponsor or registree and haven't been contacted yet, please contact us at contact@braziltexas.org.
- Staff & Board of Directors operating remotely
Our staff and Board of Directors are fully prepared to work remotely, accessing our business systems that ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our support. We are ready to provide you with BRATECC services regarding your membership, sponsorships and answer any questions you may have.
- Keeping our members and partners informed during the crisis
BRATECC has been in continuous communication with the appropriate authorities, partners, and the media in order to keep our members informed regarding the latest developments and what actions to take on the local and global levels.
Next Steps:
BRATECC’s Team will continue keeping you informed regarding the developments of the pandemic. We will share more information about the new dates for the events as soon as the situation is contained, and it is once again secure for public gatherings to take place. The moment is one of care, awareness, and overcoming.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@braziltexas.org
Sincerely,
Ulisses Sperandio
BRATECC ‘s President
