Facebook parent company to invest $800 million in Central Texas
"Meta, Facebook’s parent company, announced March 31 that it will invest $800 million in Temple to create a Hyperscale Data Center, according to a press release from the Temple Economic Development Corporation."

BRATECC President and Board members' meeting with the Texas Secretary of State, John Scott, in Austin
"On March 16, 2022, BRATECC President Ulisses Sperandio; Executive Director Cid Silveira; and Chairperson of the Membership Committee and member of the board John Moseley from Port Houston went to Austin, TX in order to have strategic meetings with the Texas Secretary of State John Scott at the The Office of the Texas Secretary of State, and a business lunch with Mauricio Abadi, Chief Operating Officer of InvestSP USA, the investment attraction agency of the state of São Paulo.

BRATECC Diversity Talks
On March 10th, 2022; the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce had its first “BRATECC Diversity Talks” introducing a new initiative on our Chamber. The BRATECC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee was pleased to invite women from several prestigious companies/entities from different sectors to have a discussion regarding the essential journey to create workplaces committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

On March 9th, 2022; the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce had their third annual ceremony celebrating the “Person of the Year and Company of the Year Award” which pays tribute to the person and the company that have shown outstanding performance in economic, scientific, trading, educational, and social relations between Brazil and the United States, and have promoted and achieved great benefit between the two nations.
