BRCOT Director, Paulette Bonneau, was recently interviewed by News Center Maine about the significant infrasturucre and equipment needs througout the State of Maine.
Career & Technical Education Leaders testified before the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee last week to support two bills that would provide funds to upgrade infrastructure for Maine’s 27 CTE Centers.
A $20 Million bill to update equipment and capital outlay was tabled while another bill for $4 Million was moved unto the Governor’s supplemental budget and, if approved, could eventually amount to $9 Million in the Governor's budget to be split amongst the State cost-sharing formula.
The last time the State invested in CTE improvements was 1998.
