It was hoodie day today at Aerovault and BRE! We have a monthly company-wide meeting where we bring in lunch and share customer experiences with our Aerovault and BRE teams. We've always provided Aerovault shirts to the team and the last couple of years we have also provided heavy Carhartt jackets for winter wear (Cameron, 4th from the right is wearing his Carhartt jacket).
We encourage ideas and a couple of months ago someone recommended we also provide Aerovault hoodies. Some of the guys already wear hoodies to protect themselves while welding. We took a poll and got an overwhelming response that the guys would love hoodies, especially during the weather transition when it's too cold to not wear a jacket but not cold enough to wear the heavy Carhartt jackets. During today's monthly lunch we gave out the hoodies. The guys appeared to have no clue what was in the large box sitting next to Gayle during lunch as they literally squealed as she took out the first hoodie.
As with everything, the only constant is change. After 7 years, Monty is no longer with the company. The position he held is evolving and in addition to handling customer service, order fulfillment, inventory and supplies, there is an opportunity for the person in this position to be involved in our social media and events. Must-have qualifications are: 1) have a great customer service orientation, 2) have good verbal and written communication skills and 3) be organized and efficient.
