Greetings!

For some reason we seem to be especially into the holiday spirit these days. Maybe it's because we just kicked off a year of BRE 60^th anniversary activities which included a reunion with the 5 remaining BRE team members in Southern California (left to right above; Peter Brock, Joey Cavaglieri, Trevor Harris, Kirk Allegro and John Morton). There’s nothing like spending time with these guys to make you grateful to know such wonderful and talented people. We also had owners of some of the original BRE team cars and a beautiful BRE Tribute car, bring their cars from the West Coast, Midwest and East Coast so the team could see the cars at the reunion. Such generosity is what makes the car community so wonderful.

We also just got back from our last event for this year. That in itself is enough to celebrate but the Japanese oriented shows we went to this year are truly special. The Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) somehow gets better every year. Then after a 3 year hiatus, we went back to Jakarta for the Indonesia Diecast Expo. What an amazing show and even more amazing people. Some fans were shaking in line so excited to see us again.

The Remaining BRE Team Gathers for 60th Anniversary

What we lack in Quantity we make up with Quality

It was an amazing BRE 60th Anniversary Reunion at the Japanese Car Classic in Long Beach this October. We're down to five original team members: Team Owner and Manager Peter Brock, Championship Team Driver John Morton, Suspension Guru Trevor Harris, crew member Joey Cavaglieri and Parts Management and Fulfillment Kirk Allegro. Along with original team members we also had the original '69 BRE Baja 510, the '72 Bobby Allison BRE 510, the '73 BRE Baja Z and Tribute #68 BRE 510 and Screaming Yellow Zonker. We have a few special team signed 60th anniversary products you can check out here while they last.

BRE 3 Champs Posters Signed by the BRE Team

A truly rare opportunity, but only 15!

A once in a lifetime opportunity. The remaining five original BRE Team members signed these 15 posters during the BRE 60^th Anniversary Team Reunion. Each poster is numbered 01/15 thru 15/15 with the BRE Hologram Authenticity seal.

Not many original BRE team members are left but they joined together in October this year for a special BRE 60^th Anniversary reunion. They had a great time telling stories from the BRE days. Peter says he probably learns more about what happened back then during these get togethers than anyone else.

Limited, Signed, Numbered 2-Car BRE Anniversary Model Set

A must-have as 60 years will only be here once!

BRE (60^th anniversary) and the Japanese Classic Car Show (which celebrated their 20^thanniversary this year), teamed up to create this joint anniversary two model BRE Datsun 510 set.

One model is of the Trans-Am 2.5 Championship #46 BRE Datsun 510

The other model is the Datsun 510 Peter owned personally during the BRE race years. Brock painted his personal car in this striking yellow livery and called it the Screaming Yellow Zonker after a popular candy that came in a bright yellow wrapper. When Ebbro models decided to do a model of the Screaming Yellow Zonker they couldn’t call it that as it would have been trademark infringement so for their model they called it the Brock Buster. The real car was recently located and restored to original condition and attended the BRE Open House three years ago. This is the only model set ever made with the two most important BRE Datsun 510s in Peter’s life.

There are 46 numbered and autographed 2-car sets. Each set is:

We Revisit the Indonesia Die-Cast Expo

We thank our IDD friends (Indonesia Datsun Diecast club) for our visit

Three years ago we made our way to Jakarta to visit our IDD friends. We once again made the trip to enjoy their impressive club dinner, followed by a weekend at the Indonesia Diecast Show. What wonderful people! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the first class treatment this club gives us.

Just in Time for the Winter Holidays

The BRE 60^th anniversary shirts have been so popular that as winter approaches we’ve now had them made in long sleeves. We also sold out of the short sleeve shirts quickly and had another run of them made. Even though our 60^th anniversary runs through most of next year, we don’t envision making these shirts again so get yours here soon.

In Closing

Our final thoughts of appreciation on this Thanksgiving weekend are that we had another great year of good health, wonderful friends, family and acquaintances. But you haven't heard the last of this year. We'll be coming out with a few more 60th anniversary items in the next week or two.
