Today a judge in Mississippi ruled that schools in the state must provide religious exemptions from vaccinations for students who wish to opt out of the state's mandatory school vaccination requirement. This is a historic victory, since Mississippi was one of only six states that do not provide families with the ability to opt out of vaccine mandates on religious grounds. The ruling came as a result of a motion for a preliminary injunction filed by attorneys working for the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN).
