BREAKING: Al-Kiwan Hospital in Syria Hit By Airstrike, Destroyed
Dallas, Texas- At 9:21 p.m. Damascus time on November 24, 2019   , the Al-Kiwan Hospital in Kansafra, Idlib was hit by an airstrike and destroyed. The facility was evacuated prior to the strike and no casualties were reported. This attacks marks the 66th medical facility attacked since April 2019. The hospital was partially supported by UOSSM.

In the strongest possible terms, UOSSM denounces the continued attacks on medical facilities and staff. Perpetrators must be held accountable for these deliberate war crimes.

Dr. Khaula Sawah, Vice President of UOSSM USA said, "To have 66 medical facilities attacked is absolutely unacceptable and must be stopped immediately. Where are innocent families supposed to receive medical and emergency care as the bombardment continues in Idlib? Just last week a camp filled with displaced persons was attacked causing death and destruction, innocent civilians were in need of emergency medical care. We implore the international community to take a stand and stop these war crimes immediately, it is the absolute least that can be done for the innocent civilians of Idlib."
