The 2024-25 school year was a great success for the High School High Tech (HSHT) program, which provides Florida high school students with all types of disabilities the opportunity to explore careers and postsecondary education. Among the key points of this year's results:
-
The program maintained its 99% graduation rate among seniors participating in HSHT.
-
More than 61% of HSHT graduates plan to continue on to some form of postsecondary education, an increase from 54% of 2023-24 program alumni pursuing the same.
According to High School High Tech state director Coleen Agner, the seven-percentage point increase in postsecondary education intent shows that HSHT empowers participating students to realize and exercise their potential.
"These results are a direct product of having a quality program supported by the outstanding efforts of our High School High Tech staff all across Florida," said Agner. "Students in this program learn there are paths to professional and personal success after high school, and that postsecondary education is the key to improving the odds of reaching those goals."
