TOMORROW 2/18: Phase 2 Vaccine Eligibility Expands


Massachusetts Department of Public Health today announced that beginning Thursday, February 18, vaccine eligibility will expand to include:
 
1. Individuals age 65+  
OR
2. Individuals (any age 16+) with 2 or more medical conditions (listed below)
OR
3. Residents and staff of low income and affordable senior housing (learn more about this group here).

Please note: A companion policy (announced on 2/11/21), which allows individuals who might not otherwise be eligible to get vaccinated, will remain in place only for patients who are companions or caregivers to residents age 75 and over.

All practices should be communicating with their patients about their eligibility.

Phase 2 eligible medical conditions (must have 2 or more):
*For this group, this does not include individuals who are immunocompromised due to other conditions, such as bone marrow transplant or HIV
