Our campaign has now completed a clean sweep with the endorsements of Progressive Mass, Progressives Democrats of Massachusetts, and now Our Revolution Massachusetts, the three largest progressive advocacy organizations in the commonwealth. These organizations recognize that Quentin is the clear progressive choice in this race, and the candidate with the experience to take action on day one in office implementing a bold and progressive agenda addressing the everyday issues facing people in Massachusetts.
Quentin has a bold progressive vision and the experience to tackle the critical issues facing Massachusetts:
Climate: Quentin will use every lever available to bring urgency to the fight against climate change. He will oppose new fossil fuel infrastructure, advocate for fare free public transit and a Green New Deal, and will stand up against polluters, especially those in our environmental justice communities. Healthcare: Quentin believes that healthcare should be about patients, not economics, and the AG must treat healthcare as a human right by leading the fight for universal access through Medicare-for-all. Quentin will use the AG's broad consumer protection and antitrust powers to hold healthcare corporations accountable and oversee nonprofit hospitals and insurers to make sure that they are acting in the best interest of the public. Education: As the chief civil rights officer in Massachusetts, Quentin will make the intentional disruption of educational injustice a major civil rights priority. Quentin believes that this challenge will not be solved with charter schools or state receivership, but through investment in our schools, in our communities, and in early childhood education. Criminal Justice: Quentin wants Massachusetts to be a leader in bold, evidence-based justice reform policies, including an end to qualified immunity for police officers, reducing harsh sentences and sentencing disparities, maximizing opportunities for decarceration, and providing greater oversight to the State Police and the Department of Corrections. He’ll also treat addiction as the public health crisis it is by advocating for safe consumption sites. Read more here.
Gun Control: Quentin will use the powers of the AG to reduce the violence guns cause in our communities by holding gun manufacturers accountable for their products, regulating ghost guns, and partnering with counterparts in other states to stop interstate transportation of guns not legal in MA. Campaign Finance: Quentin has led the charge in calling for a People’s Pledge to keep outside spending from corporations and special interests out of this race. Quentin will be an AG who is unencumbered by conflicts of interest, and can truly be the People’s Lawyer for Massachusetts. Read more here.
