BREAKING NEWS
Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Joins forces with BIASC & Local Cities to Delay the July 1st VMT Plan
Through the tireless efforts of our BIASC Advocacy team, industry partners, and our members, we are pleased to report that the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) has joined with us in requesting that the state of California stop and delay implementation of the new Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) regulations.

As the nation’s largest metropolitan planning organization, SCAG represents six counties, 191 cities, and over 19 million residents. Today, SCAG President William “Bill” Jahn submitted a letter to Governor Newsom respectfully requesting a one year extension on implementation of the new VMT regulations which were approved as part of Senate Bill 743 and are scheduled to go into effect on July 1 of this year.

We Still Need Your Help!
Please let your elected representatives know that this plan needs to be delayed in order to address the numerous problems associated with the VMT program:  http://opr.ca.gov/ceqa/updates/sb-743/
