The O’Neill Group is a privately held, family-owned real estate development firm with deep roots in construction and a long-standing commitment to community-focused development. Founded by Paula and Fin O’Neill—industry professionals with over three decades of hands-on experience—the company is now led by their daughter, Lauran O’Neill, continuing the family’s legacy through a new generation of leadership.
What began as a development arm of their construction company, OneKey, has since evolved into a fully integrated real estate platform with a growing portfolio of long-term assets across the tri-state area. The O’Neill Group brings a practical and strategic approach to complex development projects, backed by a professional team with decades of combined experience navigating brownfield redevelopment, wetlands mitigation, affordable housing, and historic tax credit financing.
In the Hudson Valley, The O’Neill Group has played a leading role in transformative projects such as One Dutchess on the Poughkeepsie waterfront and North Cross Estates in Hyde Park. Currently in the pipeline are several local developments in various stages, including a 248-unit carriage house-style community in Hyde Park, 58 additional apartment units on Poughkeepsie’s South Side, and a 140-unit brownfield redevelopment in the Town of Lloyd that will transform a long-vacant car dealership into a walkable mixed-use corridor along Route 9W.
The firm is a proud supporter of local nonprofits including Walkway Over the Hudson and actively contributes to regional safety and community development initiatives. Building on its success with historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse in Connecticut, The O’Neill Group is now in the early stages of pursuing a similar project in New York’s Hudson Valley.
