Build PAC Reception Planned for February

  

The 2016 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature will convene at 12 O'clock Noon on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.  This year's session will be 125 days long.   

 

To kick off the legislative season, Build PAC will host a reception in conjunction with the February Board of Directors meeting.  The reception will be held at the King Edward Hotel on February 10th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  

 

State elected officials have been invited along with the Legislators of the Year.   

 

You are invited to join us for this special reception.  To RSVP, please contact the HBAM office at 601.969.3446 no later than February 3rd.  There is no cost to attend.  Each Association is encouraged to have representation from your local attend. 

Massey and Mims Chosen as Legislators of the Year
Sen. Chris Massey

Senator Chris Massey and Representative Sam Mims  have been chosen as the 2015

Legislators of the Year by HBAM. 

 

Their work on the Mississippi Builder and Remodeler Law 73-59-1 was deemed to be the most important legislative efforts for members of HBAM.

 

They will be recognized at the Build PAC Legislative Reception on February 10th at the King Edward Hotel in Jackson, MS.

Applications Now Being Accepted for the Mississippi Housing Hall of Fame


 The Mississippi Housing Hall of Fame was created to recognize those individuals

who have made significant and lasting contributions to housing in Mississippi, the

building industry and HBAM. This is the highest honor given to an individual for

 lifetime achievement in the housing industry. Candidates are selected from three

categories: builder/developer, government and housing related. If you or your association

would like to nominate an individual go to www.hbam.com for an application.  The deadline for applications is Monday, January 25, 2016.
