Nasrin is a visual artist who has continued to build her reputation as a respected ceramic and clay artist, known for her meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to her art form. Her workshops are a blend of cultural storytelling and artistic mastery, where participants learn technical skills on ceramic, fire, and air-dry clay.
Through her clay workshops, Nasrin invites participants to explore their own creativity while connecting with the ancient traditions of their homelands. Sayaw 2024 – A Celebration of Multicultural Dance
We’re excited to share the success of Sayaw 2024: Multicultural Dance Workshop, held on the 19th of October at the Southport Community Centre. This inspiring workshop was led by the talented Ms. Arvee ‘Bing’ Guevara, a renowned performing artist, researcher, and alumna of the Bayanihan National Folk Dance Company of the Philippines (1998–2002). With her extensive background and expertise, Ms. Guevara brought to life the rich traditions of Filipino folk dance while embracing participants' diverse cultural backgrounds.
The workshop was a vibrant blend of movement, rhythm, and cultural storytelling. Participants had the opportunity to learn traditional Filipino dances and explore the connections between different cultures through the universal language of dance. Ms. Guevara’s passion and energy were infectious, leaving everyone inspired by the beauty of multicultural collaboration. The Southport Community Centre provided the perfect space for this dynamic and inclusive event, highlighting the essence of cultural exchange.
We’d like to thank all who attended and supported this wonderful initiative. The success of Sayaw 2024 has paved the way for future multicultural workshops, and we look forward to continuing to celebrate diversity through the performing arts.
