2nd Edition - March 2022
GCMAGIC ONLINE GALLERY
Yes, GCMAGIC, through CHART's financial support is going to have an online gallery linked to our website www.gcmagic.org.au
Our artists and arts and craft members have the opportunity to submit their work to this online gallery and sell their works. Registration fees or commissions on sale, if applicable, will be determined and will be announced closer to the launch of the gallery. This is a great development in the arts industry and for GCMAGIC, which will break barriers such as distance, and facilitates the artists and craft makers to sell their works to a broader market.
EXCITING UPCOMING EVENTS
Multicultural Arts and Craft Market
For the first time, art-craft makers will participate as a group in a unique market: Gold Coast Multicultural Arts and Craft Market. This market goes beyond painting, performing and showcase of cultural items or pieces created by local culturally diverse groups. The objective of this market is to provide a platform for local creative talents to produce and sell their works, to have contribution to the local creative map, and also to motivate talented creative new works.
The Multicultural Arts and Craft Market will offer more than a market. The month of November 2022 is nominated for the first market. More information will be published in the following BRICKS Newsletter and GCMAGIC social media pages.
Cultural Fiesta: Live and Digital
The Cultural Fiesta projects are funded by Gold Coast City Council (GCCC) and Multicultural Affairs Queensland (MAQ) to showcase unique cultural elements of Australian multicultural society. The first part of the project is a combination of performances on stage when GCMAGIC is partnered with the First Nations group. And the second part is making visibility less or/and non-visible existing cultural groups alongside with the active cultural groups through national costumes. This project will be held in August 2022 and more information will be released in future BRICKSnewsletter and GCMAGIC social media pages.
Pomegranates Connection
GCMAGIC has been funded by Arts Queensland through Arts Advantage Program for Pomegranates Connection project. This unique project is about the artistic development of 8-10 Persian-speaking artists, mainly from Afghanistan. This project will be held in Brisbane and involves arts exhibition, photography, videography and story-telling.
