BRIDG Monthly Newsletter | January 2019
FROM THE CEO
Chester Kennedy Headshot
Looking ahead in this new year, the many accomplishments of 2018 already seem but a distant memory. Since inception, the success of our unique public-private partnership remains dependent upon securing and aggregating funding from multiple sources to unlock our fullest potential. We build upon the infrastructure enabled by our founding visionaries – adding tools through state investments that extend our relevance and fills critical gaps in microelectronics manufacturing R&D – and we leverage these investments to secure contracts with industry and governmental agencies that builds additional proven capabilities and positions us to add greater value to industry.

As we transition into 2019, our efforts continue to center around increasing the value of our infrastructure, focusing on finalizing current projects, securing new contracts, and closing on federal funding opportunities. We will also continue communication outreach initiatives, sharing the depth and breadth of our regional and national impact with our many elected officials who are all partners in ensuring BRIDG success. Bringing all of these elements together sets the foundation for a sustainable and continually relevant entity. This combination also unlocks substantial high wage job opportunities in the region. And even beyond the economic impact, we contribute to solving a growing national crisis that the Economist recently referred to as the “ Chip Wars .”

We look forward to a busy and exciting 2019 and thank you for your continued interest in BRIDG and NeoCity! Come join us as we innovate the future today at BRIDG in NeoCity!
