BRIDG Monthly Newsletter | November 2018
FROM THE CEO
Chester Kennedy Headshot
During this time each year, I take a few moments to reflect on the past and look forward to the approaching new year. In addition to the blessings in my personal life, I am extremely thankful for the opportunities and freedoms that we enjoy in this country. I hope that you will join me in expressing heartfelt gratitude to the men and women who have served and are serving to ensure our safety and security. From warfighters and firefighters to police and first responders, these men and women deserve our thanks for putting their lives on the line to allow us to pursue our dreams.

I am also grateful to be part of the tremendously talented team at BRIDG. The team’s passion and dedication in pursuit of excellence was exemplified when we successfully produced our first lot of wafers last month. As those of you from industry know, the first lot is often written off as a sacrificial lot, meaning you expect to collect data on tool performance and process rather than create a functional device. Yet, our team decided early on to actually attempt to produce useful devices within this qualification lot, and their hard work was validated when a professor from Northern Arizona University tested parts from this lot for use as Physically Unclonable Function device components. The smile on his face as he enthusiastically discussed the million data points that he and his students manually collected from our first lot said more than words can express about the fantastic results that our fab team achieved on this pass.

Thank you to the BRIDG team and to our visionaries who continue to boldly support BRIDG in the many ways that allow us to work in an environment where we can make a difference for the future of our community and region!

Join us as we create tomorrow here today at BRIDG in NeoCity!

HOT OFF THE PRESS
A Season to Be Grateful
From the visionary founders who helped make BRIDG a reality, to the wonderful new partnerships established, to the support we continue to receive from our community each and every day, we have many things to be thankful for this holiday season. Among them are the recognitions BRIDG and teammates received this year. In addition to our entire team being recognized as a “Change Maker” Impact Leader by Heart of Florida United Way and as “District Business Partner of the Year” by the School District of Osceola County, our director of marketing and community relations, Gloria LeQuang, was most recently selected as one of ten University of Central Florida College of Sciences Distinguished Alumni , representing the new Nicholson School of Communication & Media. Honorees were selected based on their professional achievement, exceptional community service, and reflection of the college’s mission to expand knowledge in the sciences, mathematical sciences, and communications. We are grateful for these humbling accolades and strive to make continued positive impacts for years to come.

Originally founded by the Mobius Institute as IMVAC, CBM provides practical learning opportunities in the important aspects of industrial condition monitoring technologies. While the conference was in town, we had the opportunity to welcome conference attendees to BRIDG to learn more about fab construction and how vibration impacts microelectronics fabrication.
