BRIDGE 2nd Quarter Recap

April 11, 2015
Victory Over Violence 1K/5K
BRIDGE supported the annual Victory Over Violence Walk/Run presented by the Women's Center of Tarrant County. Several members participated by walking in the 5K at Trinity River Park in Fort Worth. This event raises awareness on the issue of violence and its proceeds support programming to assist victims of violence and their families.

BRIDGE eSocial
BRIDGE hosted its inaugural eSocial event exclusively for our Active Professional level members at The Usual Bar in Fort Worth. Our eSocial provides members with an opportunity to Engage business and community leaders in an informal, intimate setting. Our goal is to Empower our members, to Evolve into leadership, and Excel within the community!

Compassion Abounds: Fort Worth Hunger Project
BRIDGE played an integral part in packaging over 300,000 healthy meals that will be distributed to hungry children locally and around the world in Mexico and Zambia, Africa. It was a great experience and opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who suffer from hunger every day.

Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. Collaborative Mixer

Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. 2nd quarter mixer focused on young and emerging professionals. In collaboration with BRIDGE and Paths Forward Leadership group, it hosted a successful networking event located at Idea Works - Guinn Complex in Fort Worth.

BRIDGE General Membership Meeting

The Fort Worth Central Library was gracious in hosting BRIDGE's general membershipmeeting. During this meeting, members generated ideas for upcoming task forces on social issues and fundraising.

Board Mid-Year Strategic Meeting

The BRIDGE Board gathered together to review initiatives and events conducted during the first half of the year and to strategize for the remainder of the year.

BRIDGE "Check-In" Mixer

Our 2nd quarter mixer for the year was a huge success! The event took place at Bite City Grill in Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth, we had a great turnout coupled with networking, food, and music.

BRIDGE eSocial   

BRIDGE is hosting our 2nd eSocial event, which is EXCLUSIVE to our Active Professional members. Our inaugural eSocial event was a great success and we are looking forward to an even better event. The eSocial will provide access to business and community leaders in a small discussion setting to facilitate professional development and community involvement over drinks and food. This event is sponsored by Mereaux Wealth Strategies.

Our goal is to Engage business and community leaders who will Empower our members to Evolve into leadership and Excel in the community.

BRIDGE Membership Enrollment

Our last enrollment cycle of the year ended Wednesday, July 15th, and we are proud to welcome our 23 newest members. We are looking forward to the great work that lies ahead for the remainder of the year with help from our newest leaders.


Our next enrollment cycle will be in January. If you are interested in membership or receiving more information about membership opportunities, email us at bridgefw@gmail.com.


BRIDGE is a black professional organization focused on professional development, education/awareness, and community involvement. We also provide opportunities for networking and cross-networking. We believe in pay it forward service, so if you are looking to have an impact on your community, consider BRIDGE.



BRIDGE is an organization that values the contributions of its members. As a result, each quarter we will highlight active members and their committment to the success of BRIDGE.


This quarter, BRIDGE would like to spotlight  member, Corina Wilburn. Corina has been an active participant on the Special Events committee offering her talents and time. She has also been a faithful supporter of BRIDGE events and partner events. She has been instrumental in connecting BRIDGE with a number of resources and vendors to allow our events and initiatives to be successful. 


Corina Wilburn is a Fort Worth, TX native and currently resides in Euless, TX. She graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1998 and from the University of Houston with a B.S degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston in 2003. Corina is a corporate sales manager for PepsiCo Foodservice and offices in Plano. She has been with PepsiCo for 4 years and is actively involved in various organizations that aid in the development and longevity of her career.

For the past 4 years Corina has volunteered with Richland Youth Association as a cheerleading coach of young girl's ages 4-9 years old. She also an active member of BRIDGE - an organization for professional African American's in the Fort Worth community. In her spare time Corina enjoys reading romance novels, shopping, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.
