Annual Meeting of the Congregation
THIS SUNDAY, February 11th, 9:20 - 10:15am in the Gym
We will gather in the gym immediately following the breakfast service, during the CE hour. This year, rather than a litany of ministry reports, we'll have a brief presentation of the budget and thank our outgoing elders and deacons.  The rest of the time we want to engage in table conversations to talk about the ministry and mission of the church, specifically as we look at the vision of our building for the future.
Ash Wednesday is February 14
Services at 7:30am and 12:00 noon
A witness to the power and beauty of our union with Christ and to the daily dying and rising with Christ that this entails. 35 minutes in the Sanctuary followed by continental breakfast/lunch to-go.
Mission Opportunities
Next Plymouth on Stewart Meal is February 18
We would like to collect your donations by This Sunday, February 11
For our next Plymouth on Stewart luncheon the theme is Chinese New Year. Whatever you think works, for example: water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, dried Chinese noodles. Look for the collection boxes in front of the office and in the kitchen. It would also help to mark it "POS". Any questions? Please contact: [email protected]

YouthCare Asks for your Help
The Jackson Street program is asking for twin sheets for their shelter.
If you would like to bring some in, please put them in the YouthCare box outside the front office.

Mexico Scholarships
Thanks to all of you who gave your second year scholarship to children in Mexico. If you haven't paid your $350 commitment, please send it in when you are able. As always, thank you for your generosity.

Leschi Sends Their Thanks
As some of you may be aware, MIPC has an ongoing mission project with Leschi Elementary. Located 6 miles from MIPC, Leschi has between 60-100 homeless children enrolled each school year. With your help, MIPC has donated funds for after-school programs, contributed food, clothing, school supplies and household items to Leschi students and their families. This school year, there are 11 MIPC volunteer tutors in place. Missions would like to extend our gratitude to you all, and on behalf of the children, families, and staff at Leschi, we extend their appreciation for all of your ongoing support and kindness.
5:00 PM Evening Worship
Our 5pm service meets every Sunday from now through May 20 (with the exception of Easter Sunday, April 1). Join us!
Adult Education Schedule
Growing In Faith Class
"The Questions Asked of Jesus" - New class begins February 25
Sundays from 9:15 - 10:15am in Classroom A-B
We previously studied some of the 300 questions which Jesus asked people, and we now turn to the questions that people asked Jesus.  We begin with the most common question people asked (yes, it is the same one today!), go through key questions he responded to, and end with questions in people's minds although never said out loud but which he answered nevertheless!  Come and enjoy a new look into our Savior.  The class will run Feb 25 - Mar 25.  Led by Carl and Halie Dodrill
[No adult classes on Feb 11 or 18.]

Women's Monday Morning Bible Study
"Bible Promises for Women"
Mondays from 10 - 11:30am in the Fireside Room
On Feb 12 we conclude our study from the book "Bible Promises for Women."  This small book gives us help in finding appropriate scripture passages for different circumstances in our lives.  All women of the church are invited to come share with us as we begin each week together.  Halie Dodrill facilitates the class .
Contact: Halie Dodrill (206) 236-0067 or [email protected].
[There will be no class on Feb 19.]
MIPC Capital Needs in 2018 and Beyond
In the last year, MIPC has seen a renewed vitality for which we are very grateful. We have a healthy worship life, a strong staff, and a deeply committed volunteer-based leadership.

In addition to the wonderful community, this church has another great asset - the incredible building in which we worship and live out our ministry.

In order to think ahead about how to care well for our facilities, we initiated a capital reserve study done on the entire building of MIPC. This study has helped the Session understand the current needs of the building, as well as what we will need to do to maintain the facility over the next decade and beyond so that it can continue to serve our ministry and mission.

The Session has already identified many of the needs: HVAC systems that are already failing, a flat roof near the end of its life, windows that need to be replaced for safety reasons, carpet that is nearing 20 years old, to name a few. At the same time, as the Session understands its leadership responsibility in this, the Session also understands it doesn't understand everything we need to know.

We need to hear from you.

As you think about our ministry and mission now and in our future, what do you think about our future?

What do you see in the life of the church building that you want to make sure gets attention?
