Sunday Mornings, 9:30am in Classroom A/B
The Gospels share powerful accounts of Jesus of Nazareth's last days - his political protests, his final meal with the disciples, his betrayal and trial, his death. This Lent, join us for an exploration of the stories and symbols of this extraordinary season, and what it means for us today. Led by Rosemary Sixbey.

This Sunday, March 9th at 5:00pm

The "Walk to Jerusalem" is a Lenten practice where people walk, run, bike, swim, or pray to reach Jerusalem. Participants log their miles, steps, or time, and then we combine our efforts and plan to arrive in Jerusalem by Easter!
Jerusalem is 6,775 miles from Mercer Island as the crow flies. We could "walk" the whole way OR walk to JFK (2,870 miles) and then fly the rest of the way. Let's see how far we get together! Not into exercise? You may also do other activities, such as reading scripture, praying, or stretching. Any activity which encourages physical health or deepens your faith. Please submit your miles/time/activities weekly at Walk to Jerusalem or by email to marlab@mipc.org or fill out a form on Sundays.
Bible verse for this week is from Psalm 91:1-2: "You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the LORD, 'My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' "

MIPC has launched a new program called Old Friends Club that fits within our mission to live out our faith by serving the most vulnerable populations in our community. Old Friends Club is a community-based social respite program that is a place of friendship and belonging for those living with dementia. It also provides much-needed respite, education, resources, and support for their caregivers.
This program transforms what it means to live with dementia, promoting resiliency and a fuller, more joyful life through conversation, music, art, games, exercise, and a meal.
To learn more or talk about participating in the effort, please reach out to Tanya Su, the director of the program at ofc@mipc.org.

Children & Youth Sunday School |
Sunday School for PreK-4th grade explores rotating themes reflecting different aspects of our faith, with each Sunday focusing on Service, Worship, Art, or Play. Classes are led by caring adult volunteers and meet in the Worship Center (classroom #4) in the Children's Hallway from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.
Grades 5-8 focus on service, projects, and cultivating a loving spirit toward neighbors. In late Fall, Steve J. and Jennifer M. are excited to offer the Our Whole Lives Program, OWL, this year. OWL sexuality education helps children learn and discuss the physical, emotional, and social changes of puberty. Parents and caregivers can be actively involved in the exploration of growing older, values, communication, and decision-making.
