| Esther: Not Your Average Scripture! | |
9:30am Sundays in the A-B Classroom
The book of Esther is a comic tale of inept leadership, devious plots and startling reversals, that reads like a fictional fairy tale. Yet at the same time, it powerfully addresses issues such as women's rights, ethnic persecution, and genocide, which are just as relevant today as they were over 2000 years ago.
| | | Rosemary Sixbey leads us on a 3-week exploration of Esther. On 11/8, we'll cover chapters 1-2 - the defiance and fall of Queen Vashti and the making of Queen Esther. | | | | |
As we seek to faithfully live out our ministry and mission in 2027, the Session is asking everyone who considers MIPC their church community to turn in a pledge (an estimate of giving) for the coming year, which will enable the leadership to create a thoughtful budget for the year. We hope to hear from everyone by November 30th. It takes the giving of the entire community to enable the worship, service, ministry, and mission of MIPC.
Please prayerfully consider how you can participate in financially sharing in the ministry of the church this coming year. You can fill out a pledge form on paper or online.
