Bronze Craft is pleased to produce the 225 001 Hold Open Device. The unique design allows it to limit your opening, hold the vent securely in position and latch the vent when closed.
The device features a removable, tamper-resistant pin to allow the vent to be opened for cleaning and maintenance.
The 225 001 is the first of a series of several designs in
this family of hardware.
Bronze Craft has manufactured thousands of these devices, mostly for installation in large high-rise buildings in major US cities. We affectionately call them "flip-flops".
The 225 Series Hold Open devices feature a toggle action for dual purposes (window latching as well as a hold open/limit device). They are intended for use on project out bottom (awning style) windows or pivot windows operating in the same manner.
They may be used as the primary window hardware or as a supplementary hardware for reinforcement
to securely keep the vent in an open position at a limited distance.
The devices provide approximately 4” to 7.2” of sash movement. In some versions a finger lift return is machined at the back of the housing to assist in operation.
The device can be painted. Color match is possible if color chip is provided.
Features:
· The main body, link and frame bracket is cast from White Bronze.
· The assembly is pinned together with 300 series stainless steel groove pins.
· The sash bracket and frame bracket are machined for #10 flat head machine screws. (Both the frame and sash bracket design may be modified as needed to ensure sound placement of the fasteners into window frame).
