The L1 fellows have officially kicked off their first holiday shopping season as brick-and-mortar businesses. You’re invited to visit the Arts Block and shop the new L1 Retail Store’s diverse selection of creative products including luxurious, handmade bath and body CBD products, eco-friendly clothing, fashion accessories, home goods, grooming products for men of color, handcrafted teas, crystals and metaphysical healing tools.
Here’s what L1 has in store this holiday season:
Thursday Night Sip and Shop Happy Hours with Retreat at Currency Exchange Café Shop the L1 store and then head over to L1's next door neighbor Retreat to enjoy live performances, drinks and food specials during their weekly Thursday night Happy Hour events from 6-9pm throughout the month.
Sat Dec 4: Washington Park Chamber of Commerce Presents Christmas on 55th
Shop L1 on Saturday December 4th and make plans to attend the Christmas on 55th Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5pm at King Drive and Garfield Blvd, presented by the Washington Park Chamber of Commerce. Guests and shoppers will also be able to check out the South Side Home Movie Project's 'Home Movies for the Holiday' film installation projected on to the Arts Incubator Gallery window starting on December 4 through the end of the month.
Mon Dec 6: Special L1 Hours for First Monday Jazz featuring 2 Brown Sisters at the Green Line Performing Arts Center
Reserve a seat today for First Monday Jazz featuring 2 Brown Sisters on Monday, Dec. 6th from 7-8pm, and make plans to stop by L1 before and after the performance to find perfect holiday gifts.
Fri Dec 10: L1 x Retreat Friday Night Market
The L1 Fellows are excited to collaborate with Retreat at Currency Exchange to curate a special pop-up Night Market on Friday Dec. 10th from 5-9pm at the L1 Store and Retreat, featuring a DJ, drink and food specials, and local vendors including: Found Objects, Kfleye, Exotic Scents of Mind, Red Elephant Candles, Trading Races, Ilava, Dandy Kingsman, Aplomb Vintage, and Drink Monday Coffee.
