Ready, Steady, Pitch!

Last night we attended the Converge Challenge 'Ready, Steady, Pitch' competition to support our awesome BRT members who were pitching. Edinburgh Napier student Caroline Tocher pitched on behalf of fellow BRT member Martina Zupan and her business Alterwaste. Talk about fantastic team work! BRT member Colin Campbell pitched Nectis Ltd, and lecturer Alicja Stankiewicz pitched Ni4 Tech. Congratulations to everyone who did pitch last night! It was a wonderful evening, and we cannot wait to hear the results.
The Hunch Crunch

Our very own Nick Fannin will be delivery a session at this year's Edinburgh Napier Learning & Teaching Conference. This session is open to all academic and professional services staff at Edinburgh Napier University.

CareerHub & Symplicity Spotlight Event

Last week was the annual spotlight event by CareerHub and  Symplicity, or as it is known at Edinburgh Napier – myFuture. BRT and Student Futures attended the two day conference which was hosted by  Sheffield Hallam University. For those of you who do not know,  myFuture is the platform used by a number of professional services departments across our university to engage with our students.

Applications and nominations are now open for Social Enterprise Awards Scotland. The awards are the biggest celebration of social enterprise in Scotland recognising innovation, impact and success in social enterprise.
FT Talent Challenge 2019

The Financial Times is looking for 50 talented individuals who are proactive, curious and able to think on their feet to take part in the FT Talent Challenge. Participants compete in teams to solve real business and strategic cases related to the digital and media world. They will work with FT mentors who support them throughout the event.

Summer workshops for kids with Wee Replicators

Did you know the founder of Wee Replicators, Denise Milne, is also a BRT member? They have a lot of exciting workshops over the summer for children between the ages of 5 - 15. If you have kids or know anyone who does, we would highly recommend checking out these engaging workshops!

BRT member Maggie Mazoleka, founder of MaRobert's, along with her team were awarded 'Most Innovative New Product' by the Midlothian & East Lothian Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations to Maggie and the team - awesome work!
