Despite some challenging weather our BSC Boys and Girls Teams have taken the start of their season by storm, winning multiple elite level tournaments.

T he Soccer Parenting Resource recently ran a webinar on healthy and unhealthy approaches to competition. Patrick Ianni and Seth Taylor are the co-authors of the book/interactive guide On Frame: Exploring the Depths of Parenting in the World of Youth Soccer.

25-BSC alumni that participated in either the NCAA Division I, II, or III Championships

5-The number of BSC alumni that played in the Division I College Cup for Men's and Women's Soccer (Ben and Matt DiRosa, Chase Gasper, and Eric Matzetelvich for the University of Maryland on the men's side and Drew Kesterman for Georgetown University on the Women's side)

2- BSC alumni that played for sides in the MLS and NWSL finals: Jeremy Ebobisse of the Portland Timbers and Tyler Lussi of the Portland Thorns

PLAYER EXPECTATIONS
Bethesda soccer is a competitive, full season sport, and we expect a full season commitment. For that reason, while we understand that some conflicts arise that are unexpected and unavoidable, we expect players to attend all practices and all games and play for the full season. Poor attendance may result in reduced playing time for your child and could also effect their individual soccer development. Other complementary sports are okay to play, however, players are expected to attend all matches and tourna- ments.

Most training sessions will take place in and around lower Montgomery County; however, there may be additional opportunities to practice on high quality fields outside of the immediate Bethesda/Potomac/Rockville area.
