An Update from the Executive Director
Welcome to Spring!
Seven wonderful months have passed since I began as Executive Director for the Bethesda Soccer Club! What an amazing experience thus far, full of meetings with new people, putting faces to names, and learning about the truly incredible contributions made by so many to the development of young athletes. I know we are all looking forward to longer days and warmer weather as we welcome the spring season.
As a great number of you know, we are very fortunate to be celebrating our 40
th
anniversary this year. Our Ruby Jubilee marks a great year of advancement and innovation for the Club as we have announced several new partnerships and endeavors to improve player experience on and off the field. Our website and registration system will get a complete overhaul with our new site set to launch this May. Parents can look forward to a simpler registration process on a fresh and modern website platform. This spring, we were fortunate to debut our partnership with SportsRecruits to offer a state-of-the-art platform to walk players through the college recruiting process. In 2020, we are excited to be launching an international travel component to bolster the soccer knowledge and training experience of our middle school players.
As we look toward the future, we are committed to expanding playing opportunities for players in need, continuing to develop the nation’s best coaches, and finding additional high-quality playing locations on which to train. I am excited about what the coming years will bring with your continued support of our programs. In my new role, I have been asked many times what makes Bethesda different. In my short time here, it has not been hard to identify just what makes this organization so special. The deep commitment and pride that swells in our coaches, staff, volunteers, and members is unparalleled. I am eager to see what we will be able to build together.
