Returning BSD2 Student Registration for the 2026–2027 School Year

Online registration for students returning to Bensenville School District 2 for the 2026–2027 school year began on Thursday, April 9. Families are encouraged to complete registration by May 1 so the District can begin preparing transportation routes.

PLEASE NOTE: If registration is completed after deadline (June 2nd) transportation will begin on August 31st

All registrations are completed through the District’s PowerSchool Student Information System, and parents must have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account to register.

Completing registration on time helps the District finalize transportation routes on time and ensures students are ready for the start of the school year.

NEW Residency Requirement for Blackhawk Students - Students entering 6th grade at Blackhawk Middle School beginning the 2026-2027 school year will need to prove residency. Parents can upload information on the parent portal or bring it to the school office.

National Assistant Principals Week

We were proud to celebrate Assistant Principal Appreciation Week from April 6–10! This special week gave us the opportunity to recognize the incredible leaders who make a difference in our schools every single day.

Please join us in honoring our outstanding assistant principals:

Saul Melendez – W.A. Johnson Elementary School

Jacquelyn Le-Mon – Blackhawk Middle School

Monica Loveshe – Tioga Elementary School

Kim Shaffer – Blackhawk Middle School

Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting students, staff, and families help create positive and thriving school communities. Their impact does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for all they do each day!

BSD2 knows how to celebrate our students' hard work!

BSD2 students have been celebrating their achievements in some fun and exciting ways across our schools!

At Blackhawk Middle School, the excitement was high during the March Madness assembly, where students watched their favorite books go head-to-head. In the end, Another by Paul Tremblay took the championship title! To make the event even more memorable, students with the highest attendance earned the chance to pie a teacher of their choice, and they definitely made the most of it!

W.A. Johnson Elementary School also joined the celebrations by recognizing trimester accomplishments, giving students the chance to enjoy fun activities while celebrating their hard work and success.

At Tioga Elementary, students had a unique attendance incentive to look forward to. Classes that achieved a 94% attendance rate earned a special reward, watching their teachers compete in an inflatable dinosaur race! It was a roaring good time for everyone involved.

Across BSD2, we are proud to celebrate student achievement, encourage attendance, and create joyful moments that make school a place students love to be!
